Snowboarding at Titlis in Engelberg, Switzerland, offers plenty of freeriding routes to explore. South of Zurich and Luzerne, the Engelberg-Titlis ski area has 82km of runs served by 14 lifts from 1,000 to 3,000m above sea level. Engelberg is a high-altitude basin-shaped valley with a glacier on Mt Titlis. The snowboarding is divided between two distinct areas: Titlis and the family-oriented Brunni area.


As the locals kept telling us, we happened to arrive on the best pow-days of the 2015/2016 season. And, back-to-back powder days makes snowboarding in Telluride seem pretty epic. Telluride is a mix of cruisers, steeps and glades that meet everyone's shredding desires. It's spread out over 2,000 acres serviced by 14 lifts. The area offers untracked and groomed trails, open bowls and narrow chutes, as well as plunges and glades.


Snowboarding Orelle, France, offers the chance to enter the backdoor of Les 3 Vallees and have access to some of the best freeriding in the entire ski arena. Southeast of Chambery and northwest of Turin, the Orelle ski area has crazy big mountain freeriding routes when there's enough snow. The main lifts service 6 pistes with a maximum vertical descent of 880m. As the quieter side of Les Trois Vallees, you can expect to find fresh tracks in overnight snowfall throughout the entire day.
