Northwest of North Conway near Bartlett, the Attitash Mountain Resort is New Hampshire's largest ski area (though Bretton Woods makes the same claim). The Attitash Mountain Resort has 68 runs served by 8 main lifts spread over 310 acres across two mountains accessing a max vertical drop of 1,750 feet. There are great views of Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range. The ski area averages about 120 inches of snowfall annually. If you're up for glades, make sure to head into Bear Peak where you find seven glades spread across 30 acres.
For the freestyle snowboarders in your crew, Attitash is famous for the Abenaki Parks located on Thads Choice with over 1,700 feet of ramps, table tops, huge air hits and jibs. It is rated as the biggest and best park in the Mount Washington Valley. There are also 10 rails of varying shapes. Attitash has longest superpipe in New Hampshire, which is located on Lower Ptarmigan.
After snowboarding at Attitash, the best option for apres ski is at Ptarmigan Pub.
To reach the snowboarding at Attitash Mountain Resort from Massachusetts, head north on US95 to Exit #4. Head north on the Spaulding Turnpike (SR16) into Conway Village. Proceed past 2 sets of lights and turn left at the third set of lights. Continue north on SR16 to Glen. Continue straight on SR302 westbound for 3 miles to the base lodge. To reach Attitash by air, you'll want to fly into Manchester Airport or Boston Logan.
