West of Greenfield near Charlemont, the Berkshire East ski area has 34 trails for snowboarding.

There are five lifts serving these runs.

Directions From Boston, MA: Take Route 2 West for about 100 miles, going through Greenfield, Shelburne, and finally Charlemont. As you go through Charlemont village, look for a green sign that says "Route 8A South" or a big blue sign that says "Berkshire East Ski Area" with an arrow pointing left. Take that left, which goes over the Deerfield River and railroad tracks. You will then see another blue sign that says "Berkshire East Ski Area" with an arrow pointing left. Take that left, and then take your third right (theres a road, a driveway, followed immediately by the Berkshire East entrance) which has a white sign for Berkshire East.

Overall, Berkshire East Ski Resort is the 7th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 8 snowboarding resorts in Massachusetts. Several of the better snowboarding resorts are nearby Berkshire East Ski Resort including Ski Butternut Basin, Blandford Ski Area and Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort.
