North of Berlin near Dixville Notch in the northern tip of New Hampshire, the family-oriented Balsams ski area has 16 runs spread over 87 acres accessing a maximum vertical descent of 1,000 feet. To reach Balsams Wilderness from the south, head north on US93 over Franconia Notch to Exit #35. Follow SR3 to Colebrook. Head east on SR26 for 11 miles to Dixville Notch where Balsams Wilderness ski area is located.
