South of Minneapolis near Burnsville, the Buck Hill Ski Area has 16 runs spread across 45 acres served by 10 lifts that access a maximum vertical descent of 360 feet. It has an average annual snowfall of 60 inches.
For the freestyle snowboarders in your crew, there is a terrain park with tabletops, boxes, kickers and rails along with a halfpipe. Buck Hill also has a Neveplast Artificial Snow dry slope park to use before the snow flies.
To reach the Buck Hill Ski Area from Minneapolis, head south on US35 to Crystal Lake Road. Exit on Crystal Lake Road and head west briefly. Turn south on Buck Hill Road and look for the parking lot on the right. The closest airport is Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport.
