Outside LA near Wrightwood, the Mountain High Resort has 59 runs spread over 290 acres that are served by 14 lifts with a maximum vertical descent of 1,600 feet. The ski area is spread over three mountains with almost an entire mountain dedicated to terrain park features (man-made and natural). There is extensive lighting for night riding as well.
To reach the snowboarding at Mountain High Ski Area from Los Angeles, follow US10 or the 60 Freeway eastbound to US15 North. Exit onto SR138 westbound and make a left on SR2. You will find Mountain High just three miles past the town of Wrightwood. Travel time from downtown Los Angeles is just 90 minutes.
