Just south of Scranton, the Montage Mountain Resort has 13 runs served by 4 lifts with a maximum vertical descent of 1,000 feet. The runs are best suited for intermediate and advanced snowboarders. The Montage Mountain Resort is known for its two terrain parks, the Whistler Terrain Park and the Spike Terrain Park. The Whistler terrain park is perfect for beginners and intermediates. The top of the slope will have 2 medium size jump lines, with medium beginner box and rail features. The middle of the slope will have beginner box and rail features, 3 to 4 jumps, beginner jump line, rail garden and jib lounge. The end of the trail will feature medium to beginner box and rail features. The Spike terrain park begins mid slope and features medium to advanced jump lines, with medium and advanced box and rail features. The best Montage Mountain snowboarding is usually found during the months from late-January to mid-February.

To reach the snowboarding at Montage Mountain Resort ski area from Philadelphia, follow US476/PA Turnpike to Exit #115 for Wyoming Valley. Head north on US81 to Exit #182 for Montage Mountain Road. Follow the signs to the resort which is located at 1000 Montage Mountain Road.
