South of Tahoe City, the Homewood ski area has 7 lifts serving 60 runs accessing a maximum vertical drop of 1,650 feet. If you are looking for some challenge, try hiking out to Hobbit Face for a double black diamond descent.
After a big day, try apres ski at the Ridge Pub.
To reach the snowboarding at Homewood Mountain Resort from Reno, head west on US80 to the third Truckee Exit for US89 south. Head south on US89 for 13 miles to Tahoe City. Turn right along the west shore of Lake Tahoe for 6 miles to Homewood.
