Southwest of Glenwood Springs, the Sunlight Mountain Resort has 67 runs spread over 680 acres served by 3 lifts with a maximum vertical descent of 2,000 feet. The Sunlight ski area is home to some of the steepest and deepest runs in Colorado with vistas of majestic Mt. Sopris and the Elk Range.
To reach the snowboarding at Sunlight Mountain Resort Denver, head west on US70 to Glenwood Springs (Exit #116). Head south on US82 towards Carbondale for 2 miles. Turn right onto 27th Street, which veers left and becomes Midland Avenue. Stay straight on Midland Avenue for about a mile where you will come to a fork in the road. Veer right at the fork onto Four Mile Road / County Road 117 for about 9 miles into Sunlight Mountain Resort.
