North of Durango, the Durango ski area on Purgatory Mountain has 88 runs spread over 1,360 acres that are served by 10 lifts with a maximum vertical descent of 2,029 feet. While not well-known for its challenging snowboarding, the Durango Mountain Resort has a boarder-friendly atmosphere that includes the Pitchfork Terrain Park, Limbo Slopestyle Park, and Snag Feature Trail. Pitchfork features a half-pipe over 400 feet long, hips, and a variety of rails. Limbo boasts table tops, rails, six big hits, and two large gaps. Snag is our natural park, with trees, hills, headwalls, and moguls.
For apres ski, try Shakers or the Olde Schoolhouse cafe.
