Northwest of Denver and west of Boulder near Nederland, the Eldora Mountain ski area has 47 runs spread over 680 acres that are served by 9 lifts with a maximum descent of 1,400 feet. This family-friendly resort is conveniently located west of Boulder. The best snowboarding at Eldora ski area is usually found during the months of January and February.

While Eldora has a family-friendly reputation, don't be fooled -- there's plenty of expert and extreme terrain to explore. One of the best extreme zones is the West Ridge via the summit of the Corona lift along with its adjacent glades.

To reach the snowboarding at Eldora Mountain Resort from Denver, head north on US36 into Boulder. Turn left heading west on Canyon Boulevard (SR119) and follow up to Nederland. Turn left in the roundabout and continue on SR119 for a mile. Turn right on SR130 and follow the signs to Eldora Mountain Resort.

Overall, Eldora Mountain Resort is the 22nd most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 30 snowboarding resorts in Colorado.
