Southwest of Allentown near Macungie, the Bear Creek Mountain Resort has 21 runs spread over 86 acres that are served by 4 lifts with a maximum vertical descent of 510 feet. Bear Creek is a family-oriented ski area and has three terrain parks including Cascade Park, Black Bear Park and the Family Park.

To reach the snowboarding at Bear Creek Mountain Resort from Philadelphia, take I-476 North (the PA Turnpike Northeast Extension) to exit 44/Quakertown. Turn right onto Route 663 South towards Pennsburg. Turn right onto Route 29 North and follow to the Route 100 intersection. Continue straight at traffic light (do not follow 100/29) for 4 miles to Bear Creek.
