Southeast of Wilkes-Barre near Tannersville, the Camelback Mountain Resort ski area has 20 runs spread across 166 acres that are served by 8 lifts with a maximum vertical descent of 800 feet. For the freestyle snowboarders in your group, there are also two terrain parks to session. The best Camelback Mountain Resort snowboarding is usually found during the months from late-January to mid-February. After a long day of snowboarding, make sure to check out the apres ski action at Trails End Pub located at the base area.
To reach the snowboarding at Camelback Mountain Resort from Philadelphia, follow US476 north to Lehigh Valley Exit #56. Then head east on SR22 to SR33. Head north on US80 West to Exit #299 for Tannersville, and follow the signs.
