North of Albany near North Creek in the Adirondack Mountains, the Gore Mountain ski area has 82 runs open to snowboarding with a maximum vertical of 2,300 feet. There are 12 lifts serving the 400 skiable acres.

To reach the ski area from the south, follow NYS Thruway to Exit 24. Take I-87 (the Northway) to Exit 23 (Warrensburg). Follow Route 9 for 4 miles to Route 28 and proceed 16 miles to 793 Peaceful Valley Road.
At Gore Mountain Ski Area, the is a newer Burnt Ridge Quad provides service the fourth peak. This adds about 5 miles of expert and intermediate terrain.
Overall, Gore Mountain Ski Area is the 9th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 15 snowboarding resorts in New York. Several of the better snowboarding resorts are nearby Gore Mountain Ski Area including McCauley Mountain Ski Area, Whiteface Mountain Resort, Snow Ridge Ski Area, West Mountain Ski Area and Oak Mountain Ski Center.
