Near Sandpoint, the Schweitzer Mountain Ski Resort has 58 runs spread over 2,900 acres served by six lifts that access a maximum vertical of 2,400 feet. The Schwietzer ski area is known for very dry, powder snow and its 6 high speed quads. There is an open boundary policy, but who needs it with glade runs like Big Timber.
To find alittle adventure, head up Chair 6 to the backside to explore cliffs, bowls and glades.
For some apres ski action, try checking out Taps. When it comes to nightlife, the best chance is at Pucci's Pub.
