North of Utica and south of Lowville near Turin, the Snow Ridge ski area has 22 runs served by 7 lifts spread over 130 boardable acres.
The snowboarding at the Snow Ridge Ski Area is located just north of Turin on SR26. To reach the ski area from Albany, follow the NYS Thruway West to Exit 31 (Utica), Route 12 North to Boonville, Routes 12D North & 26 North to Turin.
Overall, Snow Ridge Ski Area is the 8th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 15 snowboarding resorts in New York. Several of the better snowboarding resorts are nearby Snow Ridge Ski Area including McCauley Mountain Ski Area, Gore Mountain Ski Area, Whiteface Mountain Resort, West Mountain Ski Area and Oak Mountain Ski Center.
