Northeast of Beijing and southeast of Harbin, the Yabuli International Ski Resort has 12 pistes spread across 1,500 acres that served by 3 lifts with a maximum descent of 1000m. The longest piste is roughly 5km. Nine of the pistes are rated at intermediate to expert. The pistes flow down through dense forest and there are some off-piste glades to explore. The best Yabuli snowboarding can be found during the months of January and February. Many still consider this one of the best ski resorts in China.
The Yabuli International Ski Resort is located 700 miles north of Beijing. From Harbin, it is a 1.5 hour train ride or a 3 hour drive to the resort.
Pro Tip: It can be very cold at Yabuli Sun Mountain Ski Resort.
Overall, Yabuli International Ski Resort is the 3rd most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 23 snowboarding resorts in China. Several of the better snowboarding resorts are nearby Yabuli International Ski Resort including Bei Da Hu Ski Resort and Lianhuashan Ski Resort.
