Coronet Peak Ski Area Snowboarding
The 4th most popular snowboarding destination in New Zealand.

Just southwest of Queenstown, the Coronet Peak Ski Area has dozens of runs over 280 hectares with a maximum vertical drop of 462m. The trails are rated as 20% beginner, 45% intermediate and 35% advanced. In addition, there are several expert rated back bowls to explore.
Tip: Check out their First Tracks program which gets you on the lifts an hour early for a fee.
To reach the snowboarding at trailhead from Queenstown, head north on Shotover Street. Turn left on Gorge Road (which becomes Arthur Point Road and then Malaghan Road) for 7km. Turn left heading up Coronet Peak Ski Area road for 8.2km into the ski area.
Note: there are daily shuttles from Queenstown for a fee (a 25 minute ride).
Overall, Coronet Peak Ski Area is the 4th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 9 snowboarding resorts in New Zealand.
