North of Bucharest and south of Brasov, the Kalinderu Ski Area has 2 pistes spread over 4.2 hectares that access a maximum descent of 295m. At this mainly intermediate level ski area, the longest piste is a 1.5km descent. The best Kalinderu-Busteni Ski Area snowboarding can be found during the months of January and February.
To reach the Kalinderu-Busteni ski area by train, use the Busteni train station located adjacent to Highway 1.
PRO TIP: This ski area is located just to the north of the larger Sinaia Ski area on the same train line. It is worth trying to combine snowboarding at both resorts if staying for more than one day in the region.
Overall, Kalinderu-Busteni is the 3rd most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 7 snowboarding resorts in Romania.
