Near Zakopane, the Butorowy Wierch Ski Area is mainly a single wide slope served by a single lift with easy terrain.
There are numerous small ski areas surrounding the town of Zakopane interconnected by taxi or irregular tourist bus. Most visitors stay in Zakopane and hit each of the areas. Overall, there are 21 runs served by 19 lifts accessing a maximum vertical of 993m. The runs are mostly beginner slopes.
