Baqueira Ski Area Snowboarding

The 5th most popular snowboarding destination in Spain.

Northwest of Barcelona and east of Vielha, the Baqueira ski area provides access to vast terrain though most is beginner and intermediate.

This ski area is part of the Val d’Aran ski region where one pass provides access to the 150km Baqueira ski area, the Beret ski area and the Bonaguia ski area. Combined, there are 35 lifts accessing 72 runs over 4,750 acres spread across six peaks. The village of Baquiera in teh Aran Valley is the main base for most snowboarders.

For some challenging snowboarding, head up the Mirador lift to the summit. Look for the open face off Manaud. There are also some steep spots on the right of Guineu. The extreme snowboarders will want to seek out the Escornacrabes piste.

If you are looking for some nightlife, check out Pacha in Baqueira or La Luna in Arties.

Overall, Baqueira Ski Area is the 5th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 10 snowboarding resorts in Spain.
