Northwest of Barcelona and east of Vielha, the Bonaigua ski area provides access to vast snowboarding terrain though most is advanced intermediate. The Bonaigua Ski Area is known to have empty slopes, and is especially well known for it's off-piste terrain.
This ski area is part of the Val d’Aran ski region where one pass provides access to 150km of pistes across the Baqueira ski area, the Beret ski area and the Bonaguia ski area. Combined, there are 35 lifts accessing 72 runs over 4,750 acres spread across six peaks. The village of Baquiera in teh Aran Valley is the main base for most snowboarders.
