West of Los Alamos, the Pajarito Mountain ski area has five lifts serving over 40 runs with a maximum vertical drop of 1,200 feet on the east slopes of the Jemez Mountains.

To reach the snowboarding at Pajarito Mountain ski area from Albuquerque, head north on US25 to SR599 (Santa Fe bypass). Continue north on US84/285 to SR502. Head west on SR502 to Los Alamos. Just past Los Alamos, turn right on West Road to Camp May Road. Continue west on Camp May Road for 3 miles to the ski area.

Overall, Pajarito Mountain is the 6th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 6 snowboarding resorts in New Mexico.
