East of Moscow and southwest of Chelyabinsk in the Urals, the Abzakovo Ski Area has 13 pistes served by 6 lifts accessing a maximum vertical descent of 320m. Most of the terrain is rated easy or moderate, and is generally considered a beginner mountain. There is some off-piste freeriding at Abzakovo Ski Area, but it is known to be rocky.

To reach the snowboarding at Abzakovo Ski Area from Moscow, take a trail fo Magnitogorsk, which is a 24 hour trip. From Magnitogorsk, take the trail to Novo-Abzakovo, which is about 40km. Alternately, there is a flight from Moscow Domodedovo airport into Magnitogorsk.

Overall, Abzakovo Ski Area is the 7th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 23 snowboarding resorts in Russia.
