Southwest of Volgograd in the Caucasus Mountains, the Dombai Ski Area has ten pistes served by twelve lifts accessing a maximum vertical descent of 1,382m. The pistes are known to be poorly marked, rarely groomed and tend to be crowded. You can expect to find plenty of ice on the steep pistes. The freeriders will find plenty of powder to explore even a few days after a dump. The snowboarding in Dombai is the spacious south-western slopes of Mount Mussa-Achitara (3012 m).
