North of Moscow, the Sorochany ski area has ten pistes served by five lifts accessing a maximum vertical descent of 90m. It isn't too popular with the snowboard crowd, but the slopes are lit until 2am.
To reach the snowboarding at Sorochany ski area from Moscow, start at the Savelovsky train station and take one of the local trains stopping at the Yakhroma station. Then, take a taxi to the ski area.
The Sorochany Ski Area is located roughly 55km north of Moscow.
