East of Beijing and southeast of Changchun in the Ji Lin province, the Changbaishan Ski Resort has 43 pistes totaling 40km served by 7 lifts with a maximum descent of 343m. The Changbaishan Ski Resort opened in 2012, and is the largest ski area in China. The levels of piste difficulty are 9 beginners slopes to 14 intermediate slopes to 20 advanced slopes. Located in volcanic terrain, the best Changbaishan snowboarding can be found during the months of January and February.
To reach the Changbaishan Ski Resort by air, you will need to fly into Changbaishan Airport. This airport is served by flights from both Beijing and Shanghai. It is a 30 minute drive from the airport to the resort.
