The Brigels ski area has the popular 7km piste from the Fil summit down to Curtginet in Waltensburg. It is also known by the locals for its off-piste.
After a long morning of snowboarding at Skigebiet Brigels, try a long lunch at Bergrestaurant Alp Dado or Bergrestaurant Curtignet.
For some apres ski action, try the Schneebar Alp Dado Sura or Lichtblick-Bar.
Tip - If you are planning to snowboard the Brigels area for a week, you may want the Surselva Safari ski pass which also allows snowboarding at Obersaxen-Mundaun located to the west across the valley. There is a free ski bus from Ilianz to Waltenburg and to Brigels.
To reach the Brigels ski area by air, the best bet is to fly into Zurich. Then take the train from the airport to Ilanz. From Ilanz, there is a bus up to Brigels.
Overall, Brigels is the 44th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 80 snowboarding resorts in Switzerland.
