Southwest of Zurich and east of Interlaken, the Meiringen-Hasliberg ski area has 19 pistes totaling 60km that are served by 14 lifts accessing a maximum descent of 1250m. While known as an intermediates paradise, this ski area is also popular with beginner snowboarders. There is also some interesting freeriding to explore on Mt Hasliberg. The best snowboarding at Meiringen-Hasliberg ski area is usually found during the months of January through March.
After a long day of snowboarding at Meiringen, there are two options for apres ski action. Try checking out either Kuhstall at Magisalp or the Aquarium at Kaserstatt.

To reach Meiringen by air, fly into Zurich International Airport (ZRH). Take the train through downtown Zurich and connect to the Meiringen Bahnhof. It is a 15 minute walk to the cable car or you can take the ski bus there. The cable car is used round trip up to Reuti where the ski area begins.
