Southeast of Zurich, the Hoch-Ybrig ski area has 50km of pistes served by 12 lifts that access a maximum descent of 780m. Best for beginner and intermediate snowboarders, this ski area can be quite crowded on the weekends with day-trippers from Zurich.

The best black piste is the route from the summit to Towegloson. For some ungroomed pistes, take the t-bar to the Ibergeregg summit and turn hard skiers left to find ungroomed pistes down to Laucheren.

To reach Hoch-Ybrig by air, fly into Zurich International Airport (ZRH). Take the train to downtown Zurich. Connect to the bus heading to Hoch-Ybrig Talstation (about 1.5 hours).

Overall, Hoch-Ybrig is the 63rd most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 81 snowboarding resorts in Switzerland.
