Southeast of Zurich and east of Lucerne, the Hoch-Ybrig ski area has 50km of pistes served by 12 lifts that access a maximum descent of 780m. This ski area can be quite crowded on the weekends with day-trippers from Zurich. It is known to be best for beginner and intermediate snowboarders.

The best black piste is the #1 route from the Sternen summit to the Hoch-Ybrig Weglosen base. If you are looking for an ungroomed ski route, head up to Laucherenstockli summit station and look for the Ski Route #12 leading down to the Brunnelistock base station. Then head up both t-bars to the Brunnelistock summit and turn far right. Ski Route #12 continues again leading down to the Hoch-Ybrig Laucheren base station.

Pros
• Expansive Terrain.
• Long Ski Route.
