South of Bern and south of Sion, the La Forclaz Ski Area has six pistes served by 4 lifts. There are interesting off-piste freeride routes to be explored with a guide. The best La Forclaz snowboarding is typically explored during the months of January through March.
The La Forclaz ski area is part of the greater Espace Dent Blanche ski region which also includes Evolene and Arolla. There are a total of 100km of pistes to explore. These ski areas are interconnected only by bus.

To reach the La Forclaz Ski Area by train, head to the Sion station. In Sion, there is a public bus that leads south up to La Forclaz.
