Northwest of the Las Vegas strip near Mt Charleston, the Las Vegas Ski And Snowboard Resort has 30 runs served by three lifts with a maximum vertical descent of 860 feet. If you’re up for some serious hiking, you can climb up to the summit for a maximum descent of 2,300 feet along several double-black diamond steep chutes.
The Las Vegas Ski And Snowboard Resort is located less than an hour from the Las Vegas strip. The runs are all above 8,500 feet on the slopes of Mt Charleston. For the 2014-2015 season, there was a new lift added that is part of the long-term master plan to double the size of the ski area.
