West of Calgary and northeast of Banff, the Mt Norquay ski area has 60 runs spread over 190 acres that are served by 4 lifts with a maximum vertical descent of 1,650 feet.

For apres-ski, check out restaurants Ticinos, Giorgio and Walliser, and pubs Mad Trappers, Barbary and St. James. If you’re looking for nightlife, try the Dancing Sasquatch, Wild Bills and then head to Rose & Crown. TIP: Use the free shuttle buses between each of the ski areas in the valley.

The Mt Norquay ski area is located 4 miles from downtown Banff. There is daily bus service from downtown Banff.

Overall, Norquay is the 9th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 9 snowboarding resorts in Alberta. Several of the better snowboarding resorts are nearby Norquay including Banff Sunshine Village, Fortress Mountain Resort, Wintergreen Ski Area, Lake Louise Ski Resort and Nakiska Ski Area.
