East of Pyongyang and west of Wonsan in the Kangwon Province, the Masik Pass Resort has 10 courses served by four lifts accessing a maximum vertical descent of 2,000 feet. While there are ten mapped courses, not all of these runs may be open at the present time. The courses are best for beginners and low intermediates. Typically, there are only about a hundred visitors a day, so you’ll have the place to yourself more-or-less.

The Masikryong Ski Resort is centered about Taehwa Peak (1,360m). Masik Pass is located about 20km to the west of Wonsan, or about a 3.5 hour drive from Pyongyang. There is also a bus from Pyongyang but it is a 6 hour ride.
