Southeast of Albertville at the upper end of the Tarentaise Valley, the Pralognan-la-Vanoise has 24 pistes totaling 26km that are served by 12 lifts accessing a maximum vertical descent of 945m. The base is a quaint Savoyard village with plenty of old world charm.
After a long morning of snowboarding at Pralognan-la-Vanoise, check out either the on-mountain Fontanettes Restaurant or the Refuge de Barmettes, which is located at the summit of the Genepi Lift.
To reach Pralognan-la-Vanoise by car from Albertville, follow the A43 to RN90 towards Moûtiers Salins. Continue on the local road D915 for 27km to Pralognan-la-Vanoise (27km).
To reach Pralognan-la-Vanoise by train, use the train station in Moûtiers Salins. There are regular bus up the valley to Pralognan-la-Vanoise, but mainly during daylight hours. Otherwise, you will need to take shuttle.
Overall, Pralognan-la-Vanoise is the 43rd most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 50 snowboarding resorts in France.
