South of Innsbruck and Schonberg near Mieders, the Serlesbahnen ski area has four pistes served by three lifts accessing a maximum vertical descent of 1,200m. This is a small family-friendly ski area that is perfect for beginning snowboarders. It is easily accessed by day-tripping families from Innsbruck.

To reach the snowboarding at Serlesbahnen by air, fly into Innsbruck international airport (INN). There is a quick public bus from the airport through downtown to the Innsbruck main train station, if necessary. Some of the hotels offer a free shuttle bus from the airport. From the Innsbruck main train station, there are regular public Regio Stubai bus #590 that runs up the Stubaital valley to Mieders and beyond. With the easy access of the Post Bus up the valley, you may want to also explore some of the other ski areas up Stubaital including Schlick 2000 and Stubaier Gletscher.
