Best Solda/Sulden Snowboarding

West of Merano, the Solda/Sulden ski area has 44 pistes totaling 40km that are served by 8 lifts with a maximum descent of 1350m. The ski area is spread across 3 mountain faces across the town. Of the the most popular pistes is the 11km run from the summit station to the valley floor. Freestylers will probably want to stop by the terrain park and halfpipe near the Madritschhutte. Located in the Stelvio National Park, the best Solda/Sulden snowboarding can be found during the months of January and February.

After a long day of snowboarding at Sulden, stop by Cafe Ilse or Ski Alm for some apres ski action. For nightlife, you'll want to stop by Disco Apres.

There is a free ski bus from Prad to Trafoi and to Sulden am Ortler. There is also a public bus from Mals and Prad up to Sulden/Trafoi from the SAD South Tyrol Bus Service.

Overall, Solda/Sulden is the 41st most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 57 snowboarding resorts in Italy.
