Southeast of Geneva and east of Annecy, the Le Grand Bornand ski area has 43 pistes totaling 65km that are served by 29 lifts accessing a maximum vertical descent of 800m. While considered an intermediates paradise, there is a dedicated freeriding area called Espace Freeride with 800m of vertical descent located off the Le Lachat summit.
The Le Grand Bornand ski area is apread across four interlinked sectors including La Duche-Les Annes, La Joyere, Le Maroly and Le Chinaillon-Lachat.
For the freestyle snowboarders in your crew, Le Grand Bornard has the Snowpark GB off the Prarian lift. This terrain park is 700m long and spread over 12 acres with 4 lines to session by level of difficulty.
TIP: There are ski shuttle buses from Le Grand Bornand to the nearby La Clusaz ski area and the Saint-Jean de Sixt ski area. The Aravais Ski Pass covers Le Grand Bornard and nearby La Clusaz.
