South of Bern and and southwest of Interlaken, the village of Lenk im Simmental provides access to two ski areas that are popular with snowboarders. First, there is a small ski area directly accessible from town to the west. This smaller ski area has 16 pistes served by 8 lifts that access a maximum vertical descent of 1000m. Second, there is a larger ski area accessible from a lift to the south of town. This lift can be reached via a free ski bus. This second ski area is a massive region that interlinks the Lenk area all the way northeast to Adelboden. The Adelboden-Lenk ski region consists of 63 pistes served by 72 lifts that accesses a maximum descent of 1290m.
Lenk is part of the larger Adelboden-Lenk ski region. The ski region provides a lift interconnect between the Adelboden ski area and Lenk ski area, along with bus-interconnect to four other ski areas. Overall, the shared Adelboden-Lenk ski region lift pass provides access to 200km of pistes served by 70 lifts. The six semi-interconnected ski areas include Elsigen-Metsch, Tschentenalp, Engstligenalp, Adelboden, Lenk and Betelberg.

To reach the snowboarding in Lenk by air, the nearest airport is Geneva. There is convenient train service to the station in Lenk im Simmental.
PRO TIP: If you are staying in Lenk im Simmental, keep in mind that the nearby Stockli train stop provides a back door entry to the ski areas above Gstaad.
Overall, Lenk is the 76th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 87 snowboarding resorts in Switzerland. Several of the better snowboarding resorts are nearby Lenk including Adelboden, Elsigen-Metsch and Engstligenalp.
