South of Bern and and north of Adelboden, the Elsigen-Metsch ski area has 16 pistes served by 6 lifts that access a maximum descent of 1000m. This remote ski area is known for a reliable snowpack. Overall, there are 30km of pistes up on the plateau. The best snowboarding at Elsigen-Metsch ski area is found during the months of January to March.
Elsigen-Metsch is part of the larger Adelboden-Lenk ski region. The ski region provides a lift interconnect between the Adelboden ski area and Lenk ski area, along with bus-interconnect to four other ski areas. Overall, the shared Adelboden-Lenk ski region lift pass provides access to 200km of pistes served by 70 lifts. The six semi-interconnected ski areas include Elsigen-Metsch, Tschentenalp, Engstligenalp, Adelboden, Lenk and Betelberg.

To reach the snowboarding at Elsigen-Metsch by train, the best approach is to use the train station in Frutigen. There is a regular ski bus from Frutigen to Elsigen-Metsch. Also, there is a convenient ski bus to Adelboden, which provides access to a massive interlinked ski area.
