Southeast of Salt Lake City, the Sundance Mountain Resort has 44 runs spread over 450 acres that are served by 4 lifts accessing a maximum vertical descent of 2,150 feet. If you're looking for some double-black diamond extremes, make sure to head to Reds Summit and head to the Far East where there are a half dozen double-black lines to choose from.
To reach the snowboarding at Sundance from Salt Lake City, head east on US80. Turn right onto US215 heading south. Next head south on U15 towards Provo. Continue on US15 to Exit #272 (which is 800 North in Orem) turn left heading east. Continue on 800 North through Orem to the mouth of the canyon. Stay in left hand lane, which will drop onto Hwy 189. Continue up the canyon approximately 7 miles to Scenic Route #92 which is the first left after the tunnel. Sundance is 2 miles up the canyon on the left.
