Harenda is one of the many ski areas surrounding the town of Zakopane. Overall, these ski areas total 21 pistes that are served by 19 lifts with maximum descent of 993m. With that said, most of the pistes are beginner level, with a few intermediate lines. These ski areas are interconnected by taxi and also an irregular tourist bus. Most snowboarders stay in a centrally located hotel in Zakopane so they can hit all the ski areas. When it comes to apres ski action, the best is Roosters in Zakopane. As for nightlife, watch out for anything labeled as a nightclub since they prices may be astronomically high.
To reach the snowboarding in Zakopane by air, fly into Krakow airport. There is a train from Krakow heading south to Zakopane.
PRO TIP: Be aware that each ski area has their own lift tickets. And, some ski areas actually have a pay per lift pricing.
