South of Landeck and Prutz, the Fendels ski area has six pistes served by five lifts with a maximum descent of 700m. At this family-friendly ski area, the base area is actually located above the village of Ried and is accessed by a gondola for uplift and downlift. The best Fendels snowboarding can be found during the months of January and February.
After a long morning of shredding, there are two nice huttes for lunch. These include the Truyenstube and the Sattelklause.
PRO TIP: If you are coming out for a day at Fendels, don't forget to consider snowboarding at the Kaunertal Gletscher to the east or the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis resort across the valley to the west.
Overall, Fendels is the 68th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 75 snowboarding resorts in Austria.
