Southeast of Salzburg and south of Liezen, the Planner Alm ski area has 15 pistes totaling 16km that are served by 4 lifts accessing a maximum descent of 800m. This intermediates paradise has pistes with difficulty ranging from 20% beginner to 60% intermediates to 20% difficulty. The groomed pistes are spread over three summits. In addition to all the intermediate lines, there are 4 freeride routes (S1 - S4) that are located off the summit stations of each lift. The most challenging line is S4 which starts off the summit of Glaserkoppe.

After a long morning of shredding, try grabbing lunch at one of the on-mountain huttes. The best options are Dornbuschhutte and Seekaralm.

To reach the snowboarding at Planner Alm ski area by train, head to the Irdning train station. There is a twice daily ski bus from the Irdning Busbahnhof to the ski area.
