Southwest of Salzburg, the Winklmoosalm-Steinplatte has 21 pistes totaling 42km that are served by 10 main lifts with a maximum descent of 1100m. There are two newly interconnected ski areas with a range of difficulty from 40% beginner to 50% intermediate to 10% difficult. Plus, there are 2km of ungroomed ski routes.
The Winklmoosalm zone is best for beginners and families. Advanced snowboarders should head over to the Steinplatte zone to explore challenging lines including Sudhang piste, Steinberg pistes or Nordhangabfahrt. The terrain park is also in the Steinplatte zone and has 3 lines accesed by the Kapellen lift.
After a long morning of shredding, makes sure to grab lunch at either Almstuberl or Sonnenalm. The best place for apres ski action is at Kammerkorhutte.

The Winklemoosalm ski area has a lift base in Seegatterl of Reit im Winkl. There isn't really good access via public transport, so plan to drive.
Overall, Winklmoosalm-Steinplatte is the 10th most popular snowboard & freeride destination of all 22 snowboarding resorts in Germany.
